Almost nothing reaches the tumor.
Before reaching the tumor, a drug travels through the entire circulatory system — binding to healthy organs along the way. Even antibody-drug conjugates, the most targeted delivery system in oncology, deliver as little as 1% of the injected dose to tumor cells. What does not arrive doesn't disappear. The rest is toxicity.
The Paradox
The better the payload, the harder it backfires.
Targeted alpha therapy has the strongest payload in oncology — kills regardless of receptor expression, cell cycle phase, or resistance status. Yet most of it still never reaches the tumor. No payload survives a bad route.
The Solution
A direct delivery solves everything.
Transarterial embolization (TAE) places the active agent directly into the artery feeding the tumor — no systemic circulation, no dilution, no distribution loss. The payload arrives at full potency.
TAE has been used clinically for decades. Alpha is the strongest payload for it — highest energy transfer, shortest range, no resistance mechanism. The combination was obvious. The execution was not.
The Edge

The carrier is what makes the combination real — and what has kept it out of reach. It has to hold the alpha emitter in place, clear the body without residue, and have a path to the clinic.
